My 2010 wedding clients – On Super 8

Earlier this year I had this fabulous idea on how to thank my clients at the end of the wedding season. My husband who owns Don’t Shout Films helped me on my project by shooting approximately 20 seconds from each wedding I did this year on his vintage Super 8 movie camera. We’ve been working on this project for about 7 months and it’s finally done. I wanted a unique way to thank my clients because I so appreciate every single one of them. I am proud of the work I delivered this year and I have my clients to thank for that. Thank you 2010 clients! You have all been amazing to work with!

Please view the video on Jonathan’s blog here.

Honorable mention is Mitra and Matt. I thought of this idea shortly after their March wedding in Los Angeles. You can find their engagements here, Temple ceremony here, and Persian ceremony and reception here. This was one of my favorite weddings ever! We were honored to travel to L.A for their wedding. Thank you Mitra and Matt!

Have a wonderful New Year everybody! Can’t wait for the 2011 wedding season :)

Ann Marie & Rob Wedding – Milwaukee Wisconsin wedding photographer

Ann Marie and Rob’s wedding reminded me of why I love shooting weddings this time of year. It’s Christmas time, lights everywhere, fresh snow on the ground, and everyone is joyful. It doesn’t surprise me one bit that some of my favorite weddings that I’ve shot were in December. After the ceremony in Newburg, we stopped in Cedarburg for some portraits and then headed to Milwaukee for the Pabst Theater where Rob proposed to Ann Marie a year ago. Then it was off to the reception at Cuvee, one of my favorite venues in Milwaukee. I loved every second of this wedding including Rob’s dance with his mom(there was not a dry eye in the place!). And look at Ann Marie in her dress! Stunning! Also, the band they hired George Busateri Bands was amazing and were very versatile(played the classic “Moonlight Serenade” with a big band feel, and later played some Journey!). Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a great band for your wedding!

Thank you to everyone for being so awesome to work with and a big thanks to Ann Marie and Rob for braving the cold and being such killer clients! :) Now, onto the photos…

Thankful

from left to right: Danny, Jonathan with Dinah on his lap, me and Bill on my lap

We are celebrating Thanksgiving for the first time in our new home this year. We have so much to be thankful for. We had a rough time this year with one of our dogs, Bill, getting cancer. He finished his last round of chemo in October and we couldn’t be happier now that he is doing so well. I was totally preparing myself to lose my little guy and it made it very difficult during the busy wedding season. Some of my clients knew about our little Bill and we just want to thank those that gave kind and hopeful words to us. You have no idea how much that meant! I’m happy to say that Bill is completely back to normal and shows no signs of sickness. We have a checkup coming in a couple months and we are hopeful that the cancer has stayed away for good.

Would like to take a second and thank my wonderful clients this year and next year. You all have been so wonderful to work with and I cannot wait to work with all the couples I have booked for next year. I have a special “Thank You” coming to all my 2010 couples on the blog in a couple weeks so stay tuned for that because you wont want to miss it!

Hope everyone is having a joyous Thanksgiving! There is so much to be thankful for!

Jessie & Trevor engagements – Chicago wedding photographer

Shot these two love birds in Chicago for their engagements. The weather was good and bad. Unseasonably warm for November(65 degrees!) and threatening rain. Lucky for us the rain held off until the very end of our shoot. Oh how I love rain for photos. I think rainy photos are so utterly romantic and unexpected! Huge thanks to Jessie and Trevor for being such troopers in the rain and driving us around Chicago. We had so much fun!
