I’ve shot quite a few engagement sessions in Chicago but this was my first wedding in the windy city. I had been anticipating Cortney and Keith’s wedding for what seemed like forever because I knew how beautiful it would be, and it totally exceeded my expectations. They held their ceremony and celebration at the Morton Arboretum. Cortney looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day. I could hear the gasps from her guests when they saw her for the first time walking down the aisle. It was so fun to witness and photograph the family dynamics of this wedding. There were a number of things that didn’t go according to plan, but Cortney and Keith rolled with the punches so well and the day ended up being so perfect. I’m so glad these two found each other and I have no doubt they will live happily ever after. Congratulations Cortney and Keith!
Shot these two love birds in Chicago for their engagements. The weather was good and bad. Unseasonably warm for November(65 degrees!) and threatening rain. Lucky for us the rain held off until the very end of our shoot. Oh how I love rain for photos. I think rainy photos are so utterly romantic and unexpected! Huge thanks to Jessie and Trevor for being such troopers in the rain and driving us around Chicago. We had so much fun!
