Aliza & Mark – Cedar Hill Farm wedding

Aliza and Mark had already tied the knot this summer in New Mexico in a small ceremony on top of a mountain. Not everyone they loved was there to witness it, so they decided to have a celebration here in Wisconsin as well. They chose Cedar Hill Farm in Markesan, Wisconsin for their celebration. This place is definitely near the top of my list of favorite barn venues! It sure felt like fall on this day. Very chilly, cloudy and lots of color on the leaves. I thought it was absolutely perfect! Since Aliza and Mark had already made it official, the day seemed so relaxed and effortless. It’s no surprise that Aliza and Mark are photographers themselves. They spent a lot of time perfecting the special details in the barn. What I loved the most were the photos from their ceremony in New Mexico hanging on the windows of the barn. A highlight for me was when they showed the Super 8 film of their ceremony. I simply loved working with these two and day went by way too fast! I’m honored they chose little ole me to capture their very colorful and happy party.

Lauren & Eric – Columbus Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

I love when I get a chance to shoot in the cute little town of Columbus Wisconsin. I go down there sometimes since my brother lives there and every time I do I’m always oohh-ing and ahhh-ing at the adorable homes and streets. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Lauren and Eric there for their engagement shoot on a beautiful summer evening. We went to a couple locations but the last area we stumbled upon was my favorite. It’s a little area surrounded by a river and it’s breathtaking when the sun is setting. So glad we found it! Lauren is as sweet as can be and Eric scared Jonathan and I with a true “scary story” that we’ll never forget(you had to be there!). Thanks for the laughs! :)

Jenny & Joe – Madison Wisconsin wedding photographer

Jenny and Joe got married on a hot but beautiful June day that was threatening to rain during portrait time(but didn’t! Huzzah!). It actually POURED during their church ceremony in Sun Prairie, but when the ceremony was over, the clouds drifted by and the sun shined through. Their wedding was filled with lots of spontaneous and sweet moments which made my photographer heart so happy. I especially loved the spontaneous trip to their house to get a couple photos with their dog before heading out to take bridal party shots. They held their reception at the Memorial Union’s Great Hall. I always love shooting there!

Congratulations to Jenny and Joe!

I love this image! Brings a tear to my eye.

Cinco de Mayo!

My brother and his new wife Hannah had a relaxed backyard wedding on Cinco de Mayo a couple weeks ago. It was nice being at a wedding as a guest. I did take some photos with my film camera and love the results I got. Here are just a few favorites from the day.

Jonathan looking dapper in his cute bow tie!

Happy Monday everyone!
