How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you shot?
-I started Anna Page Photography in 2005 when I was only 21. I've grown my business and experience since then and have shot over 200 weddings. Oh my! :)
How would you describe your style?
-My style is a melting pot of a few things: photojournalism, portraiture, and some lite editorial.
What is your approach to shooting a wedding?
-My goal is to be a storyteller and be as inconspicuous as possible. Nowadays, it's safe to say that most couples want a candid approach to their wedding photography. I try to have this same approach even during portraits and will lightly pose you to make sure you look your best. I always tell my clients that I don't want to take up too much of your time on your wedding day taking portraits. I will try to get you back to your party with an Old Fashioned in your hand as quickly as possible. :)
We don't know what we're doing! Will you direct us?
-Absolutely! Getting pictures taken of you and your love together can feel pretty strange, right? It's not something you do every day so I will for sure guide you. Even though my style is more candid I will pose you and try to keep it as natural as possible. There will be times I will talk to you a lot and other times I allow a bit of silence to let emotions and feelings sink in. I have not once worked with a professional model, only real couples. The most important thing to do is just be yourself and relax. An engagement shoot is the perfect thing to practice and get comfortable with being in front of the camera before your wedding day. I offer a complimentary engagement shoot with all my collections!
Will you be our photographer or do you have associate photographers?
-You bet I will be your main photographer! I'm a major perfectionist and do everything myself including editing, album design, and packaging items to you. When you book Anna Page, you get Anna Page! :)
Do you travel?
-I sure do and my passport is ready! I mostly shoot in Milwaukee, but I seem to travel all over the state of Wisconsin and occasionally shoot in the Chicago area and Midwest in general. Outside the Midwest I've shot weddings in California, Idaho, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Maryland, and Washington D.C.
Do you have backup equipment?
-YES, absolutely. I use top of the line Nikon equipment.
Can I see a full wedding of yours?
-You sure can. Just let me know what kind of wedding you'll have and I'll send you one similar to yours.
How long before we can see our images?
-For engagement sessions it's 1-2 weeks and for weddings it's 3-4 weeks. My contract says 6 weeks for weddings, but typically can deliver in 4. There will always be sneak peeks on my Instagram too!
How many images will I receive from you?
-This greatly depends on a few things including the size of your wedding and how many hours I'm commissioned for. On average for an 8 hour day I typically deliver between 600-800 images.
I have a Pinterest board of photos I want you to copy on the wedding day. Will you do this?
I have to admit that I love Pinterest and have my own account as well. I actually love looking at my brides' Pinterest boards and seeing what kind of wedding they are planning. What I don't do is copy another photographer's photo. My goal is to create something special and unique just for you. Giving me a shot list to copy stifles any creativity I could have. I don't mind looking through photos you like to get a good idea of the vibe you're going for though, and shoot with that in mind. After all, I do aim to please! :) I just wont feel comfortable blatantly copying another photographer's picture.
Will my images be edited?
-Of course! All images are edited before presenting them to the couple. This includes color and tonal enhancing, sharpening, white balancing, exposure and straightening. Basically, the images you see on my website are all edited.
Touch-ups are a step further and include removal or adding of individuals and other advanced Photoshop work. These are client requested and billed at a per photo price depending on the complexity.
Will my USB of images come with a Print Release?
-You betcha! The print release allows you to make your own prints and albums wherever you'd like. You are also allowed to post the images on social media.
How far in advance should I book you?
-There is no perfect timeline for booking your photographer as I've booked weddings 2 years in advance to only weeks before the wedding. I'd say if your wedding photography is a priority to you try to book your favorite photographer as soon as you have a date and venue nailed down. Saturday dates in summer and fall tend to book quickly. Most of my couples typically book me about 9-12 months in advance.

If you're open to a meeting I'd love to sit down with you and talk about your wedding day plans(or a phone call is fine too!). In order to book, a signed contract and an $800 retainer is required. I do everything online now, including the contract and credit card payments, so it's super easy and convenient!
